Two Person Mind Reading Magic Card Trick
Hi! I'm Malik the Magic Guy for expertvillage.com. I'm going to show you a trick now that uses a different kind of prearrangement that I'm going to tell you about in the instructions section. But what you need for this trick, you need the cards setup like this on the table, and you need a friend who's going to be Mr. Hand. We're going to send him out of the room, and this is a great trick to do for a group of friends like at a party. So let's say we have a group of friends standing around. Mr. Hand has been sent out of the room, and we're going to have somebody select one of these cards. They're going to pick this one right here, they're just going to think of the 6 of clubs, and Mr. Hand is going to come back in the room. "Hi Mr. Hand... how is it going? Now Mr. Hand, is this the card that they picked? No it's not, okay how about this one? No, how about this one here? No, how about the 7 over here, how about the 6 of clubs is that the card? That's right." Mr. Hand knows the card, and nobody else in the room knows how. And in a minute I'm going to show you how to do that trick.

Explanation of the Two Person Mind Reading Magic Trick
Hi! Malik the Magic Guy with expertvillage.com. Now let's learn the two person mind reading trick, with a different kind of prearrangement I told you about. Now this is what it is: I've actually prearranged with my friend Mr. Hand a special coding system that's going to teach him, that's going to tell him what the card is. Now if you look at this setup, the 10 here is important because, what I did is I setup these cards with the same pattern as the diamonds on the 10: there's two in the middle, there's four on the outsides. So what's going to happen is, Mr. Hand is going to go out of the room, and one of the members of the group that I'm doing this for is going to think of a card, so we'll use the 6 of clubs as an example again. Now when Mr. Hand comes back in, the first thing I'm going to do is say "Mr. Hand, is this the card?" and I'm going to touch that diamond because it's the one that corresponds to that position, the 6 of clubs. If they had picked the queen of spades, I would touch this diamond, if they had picked the 5 of hearts, I would touch this diamond-whatever card is in that position, I'm going to touch that diamond. And if Mr. Hand is paying attention, he's going to know just from me touching that diamond, that they picked the 6 of clubs. So know what I'm going to do is I'm going to say "did they pick this card?"-he's going to say "no." "Did they pick this card?"-he's going to say "no." "Did they pick this card?" - he's going to say "no." You can go around as much as you want; finally you're going to say "did they pick this card?"- he'll say "yes." Now if they actually think of the 10 of diamonds, you can do one of two things: you can either touch this diamond right here, because that's the one that it corresponds to, or you can just touch the card right in the middle and kind of move it around a little bit, and that's the way to cue that that was the card they picked. Or the other thing you can do, if they actually pick the 10 of diamonds, is you don't go near it-is that you can arrange with your Mr. Hand prearranged friend there that if you don't touch the 10 first, that's the card. So if they'd thought of the 10, you'll go "did they pick the 2, no, did they pick the 7, no, did they pick the 10, yes." So that's a few different ways that you can setup or prearrange with a friend or partner how to do a really cool two person mind reading trick.
