The Two Card Sandwich Magic Card Trick
Hi! Malik the Magic Guy with expertvillage.com. Now I'm going to teach you another basic trick that you can do, and this is another trick where somebody is going to select a card. So we're going to need Mr. Hand. We've taken our cards out of our box; this is another example of a setup of prearranged trick. Now Mr. Hand, would you please reach in and take any card you'd like out of the deck, show it to the camera, great. Now with your other hand, would you reach over and cut off a section of cards and place them right down to the table, great. Turn your card face up, place it on top of the pile, and we're going to cut it right into the middle of the deck just like that. Now with a snap and a little wave, if we spread through the cards, we'll find your selected card, and take the one on either side of it. Now this just happens to be an ace, but the amazing part is that your card was trapped by the two red aces, just like that. And I'm going to teach you how to do that trick in just a minute with some variations. That's the classic basic sandwich trick. Fun trick.

Explanation of the Two Card Sandwich Magic Card Trick
Hi! I'm Malik the Magic Guy with expertvillage.com. Now for an explanation of the basic sandwich trick. Now this is a great trick, and it's simple. Don't let it throw you off though that it's a simple trick, because it fools people and it's a good trick. So what you want to do is-we're talking about prearrangements and setups-you want to start with one red ace on the top of the deck and one red ace on the bottom of the deck, and that's your only setup; you can keep them in the box like that, pull them out. Now you're going to spread through the cards, and have Mr. Hand select a card and show it to the camera. Now with Mr. Hand's other hand, Mr. Hand number two, he's going to cut off a section of the cards, put them right there. Now what we've done is just taken one of the red aces and put it right there. Now Mr. Hand, turn your card face up and put it right there on top of the pile; and now when I put this on top, I'm actually putting the other red ace right on top of his card because we've actually switched the two halves of the deck. So now we do our little magic snap or magic wave, and if we spread through the cards, we take the one on either side of it, and it just so happens that his card was trapped by the two red aces. So let's very quickly review that we'll leave that card out there, so we have the two red aces on top and bottom of the deck just like this, Mr. Hand has selected the 5 of hearts, he's going to cut, we're going to put the top of the deck down just like this. That puts one ace right there, his card is going to go faced up right there, and we'll put the other one right on top; we obviously don't show them that, we arrange these spread out the cards. Later on I'm going to show you more about spreading the cards, and if we separate right here, take their card, the one on either side of it, it can be trapped by the two red aces. And that's how you do the classic sandwich trick. In a minute I'm going to show you a cool variation of that.
